Reduce Your Quarantine Time with Our at Home COVID-19 Test Kit

This at home Covid-19 test kit is perfect for international travellers arriving into England, from a country that isn’t on the UK Government’s travel ban red list, wishing to end their quarantine period early. Order one of our at home test kits before flying to England to reduce your self-isolation period by testing on the fifth day of your quarantine.

Travellers are also required to complete the UK Gov’s mandatory Travel Testing Package COVID-19 tests on day 2 and day 8 of quarantine. Even if you receive a negative result from your Test to Release test and are released from self-isolation, you still need to take a test on or after day 8 to check that you do not have COVID-19.

Test-to-Release and Travel Certificate

We are a Government Approved Private Covid Test Provider on the gov.uk website for Test-to-Release and Travel Certificate. The PCR tests we offer can be used to both certify a Negative Result for ‘Test to Release’ and ‘Travel Certificates’ purposes.

There are a range of testing options available. Customers can either visit us in our clinic or we can save you the inconvenience and provide a home/hotel visit. We can offer both same day and next day results for Manchester. We send certificates via email.

We also offer ‘Rapid Antigen/antibody Tests’ which produce results in as little as 15 minutes for those in a rush or those who require testing regularly. These tests can be used for your staff to ensure they are COVID free. Rapid Tests however cannot be used for travel or test-to-release.

Our COVID tests recognises all known* mutations

You can remain confident in your RivaHealth test results.

Important – check your days to avoid delay.

Riva Health offers a 24-48 hours results service from receipt at our lab. However, we suggest you carefully check what day of the week your ‘Day 5’ will fall on.

For example:

If your Day 5 is a Saturday, as our lab is closed on a Sunday, your results will not be ready until Monday (Day 7) at the earliest.

Alternatively, you can return your test by courier at your own cost or send a friend to deliver it if you are local to Manchester, where our lab is based.

F.A.Q

These are the questions that’s been asked more often.

TTR – also knowns as the Test to Release for International Travel scheme – is a way to reduce your self-isolation time when arriving back in England. If you choose to use it, you can take a private test (paid-for) from a Government-approved provider after 5 days of self isolation, and if it comes back negative, you can stop self-isolating.

As part of the scheme, you’ll also need to complete a Government Passenger Locator Form too.

£115 – for a gentle, painless swab test with our Test to Release fast-track service. Postage is free and there are no hidden costs.

Absolutely. Riva Health tests are gentle and safe for all ages.

You can order a test before you leave the UK, but Riva Health can ONLY despatch the test on Day 4, ready for you to take on Day 5.

Test to Release has specific rules about when you can take a test. You can only take a test 5 days after you get home, this is because it takes time for the virus to incubate and show on a test.

You must purchase a Test to Release test kit, our other COVID tests won’t work for Test to Release.

We want to make sure your Test to Release is processed as quickly as possible, so you will need to ensure you select the correct option on the Activate your test page and retain the order number for activation.

You should get your result on Day 6 of self isolation. We’ve explained how it all works above.
You can only sample on Day 5 of self isolation – and will need to send your sample to our labs in Manchester. Test results are usually same-day from receipt of sample, but we guarantee results available within 24-48 hours from receipt at our lab.

We’ll send you an email to let you know when your results are ready – then you simply log into the secure section of this website.

Unfortunately not. We are a DNA testing company rather than a medical facility. We’ve paused our normal activity to join the fight against COVID-19, and specialise highly accurate PCR tests.

Yes, of course. We are a Government-approved Test to Release partner – and you can learn more about Trust & Safety at Riva Health here.

The guidelines change regularly, so it’s best to check on the GOV.UK website TTR pages here.

That’s fine. We can send your test kit wherever you are self-isolating as long as it is a mainland UK address.

You are allowed to leave the house to post your test. According to GOV.UK: “You may leave your house to post your test or to travel directly to and from the testing site. You should follow safer travel guidance and avoid public transport if possible.”

Unfortunately not. Because of the special process – where we are only allowed to release your test kit on Day 4 of your self-isolation, ready for you to take on Day 5 – you cannot use a ‘regular’ test.

Unfortunately not. Because of the special process, we can only release Test to Release tests as single units.

No – they are gentle and painless. Find out more on the how to use your test page here.

You’ll need to follow the regular self-isolation rules. There’s information on the GOV.UK test-to-release page here.
